This track is from the original score composed for the ‘Sunken Horizons’ audiobook, based on the ‘My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic’ fanfiction novel by Goldenwing.

If ‘Empty Horizons’ is a breakneck adventure, its sequel, ‘Sunken Horizons’, is more of an atmospheric drama as our characters deal with the fallout of the first book’s events. This theme reflects this change of pace and tone, starting off with a new Sunken Horizons theme, characterized by the plucked nylon of a classical guitar and sober strokes of a solo cello, before progressing to a variation of the original Empty Horizons main theme with the more traditional symphonic sound.

I had some fun exploring new guitar and strings sounds for this one, which marks my first use of both Ample Sounds’s excellent guitar series and Spitfire’s lovely symphonic flautando strings.
